Lord, I am so glad we live in an age of nearly instant electronic communications, so that news can reach us quickly. I’ve had the TV on as usual, catching the early morning local news programs. At 7:00 this morning I didn’t change the channel after the local news ended, so I listened to 20 minutes of NBC’s Today show.
Where I learned some things. Judging by the amount of time NBC spent on the various “news” stories, the American public today is greatly – and equally – concerned by the war/mess in Iraq, the astonishing fact that major storms can cause airlines to cancel flights (d’uh), and whether Anna Nicole Smith is still dead.
